Key Terms in Clothing and Bag Production

Bar-Tack: Also known as "knotting" or "bar-tack," refers to a series of stitches used to reinforce areas of a garment that may be subject to stress or additional wear.

Reinforcement: This process optimizes a product by increasing its force-bearing areas or incorporating stronger materials to enhance overall durability and performance.

MIER Approach to Production

Pants Production:

In our pants, we use double bar-tack technology for the pockets. Unlike typical manufacturing processes that use a single bar-tack, MIER goes the extra mile by applying two bar-tacks for increased strength and longevity. This dual-technique approach not only ensures durability but also adds a touch of modern style to the design.

Shorts Pockets:

For our shorts, the pocket fabric is lined with the same outer fabric or self. This consistent use of fabric helps to enhance the pockets’ durability, improve the overall comfort of the garment, and maintain a cohesive design. By selecting top-quality pocket fabric, we ensure both a longer lifespan and a more comfortable experience for the wearer.

Bag Production:

In the production of our bags, we have reinforced webbing and stitching at key stress points to increase their load-bearing capacity, ensuring that the bag remains strong and durable even when carrying heavy items.

The reinforced of the bag is at the top. The bag is frequently opened and closed. To prevent stress points at the top opening, especially when carrying heavy items.

This thoughtful reinforcement guarantees both function and form, providing a bag that can withstand daily use while maintaining its style.
