The bag is made of good sturdy coated canvas and will hold a lot. I also like the separate compartments on the ends, although the lining for the "shoe garage" and the side pocket seems a little flimsy. That may be better for facilitating packing the bag completely inside the other compartment for storage, though, which is always a good feature. However I am most likely to use this as a second checked bag, and it has some drawbacks for that use, IMHO. The handles/backpack straps are on the long side and likely to get caught unless you can somehow hold them to the body of the duffel. Also, Ideally there should be some compression straps to take up extra space and maybe pin down the straps and keep the contents in position, or everything will not shift around as the bag is moved. I see they do offer those on a more deluxe model. If the contents are clanking around, it will be harder to carry it on your back comfortably as well. Another favorite feature of mine that is lacking is a sleeve to hold it atop a rolling suitcase at least some of the time.When I put 2 standard bed pillows in the bag for photos, I came up with some adaptations. I shortened the straps as far as they would go, but then there were long strips hanging free. So I tied them to each other on the bottom. Also there are loops for lashing on things, I could possibly come up with my own compression straps and add those.

I took this bag tent camping for two nights recently and it did nicely. I like that this backpack has a separate compartment for wet shoes. I wish that it had a waist strap to help make wearing it a little more comfortable, but for short hikes it does not need a waist strap. This backpack has one large compartment and 3 smaller compartments. It is water resistant but I would not call it water proof. Other camping backpacks have zip lock like bags built into them for water proofing but this is water resistant. That just needs to be understood. I was able to fit my clothes, food, and my sleeping bag all inside the bag for the weekend. It also has nice straps on the outside that make it easy to attach my tent and tarp.

I want to lead with the fact that I really like this duffle bag. It has some nice albeit basic features, and I feel the pros outweigh the cons.The fact that it folds in on itself into the zippered size of a small laptop bag is a nice bonus. You can easily store this in the trunk of you car, back of the closet, etc. I also really like how the top opens wide, allowing easy total access to the interior. There are a few other zippered pockets on the outside including a (non-sealed/non-waterproof) shoe compartment, and there are two mesh zippered sleeve pockets on the inside of the main cover. I also like the yellow color of the material on the inside - it makes finding things in the bag a lot easier at night.However, the bag isn't exactly heavy-duty. The exterior material is adequate, but it won't put up with a lot of abuse. The interior material is paper-thin, and will tolerate no abuse whatsoever. There was also a small discoloration / blemish / stain on the inside (see last photo). Disappointing. Also - the stitching at the critical wear points (for example, where the straps attach to the bag) are not reinforced at all. These will likely wear out quickly if there's a lot of weight in the bag. Finally, the shoulder straps are tolerable, but there's no sternum strap or belt strap - these shoulder straps your only 'over the shoulder' strapping you'll have to carry this.Despite the flaws what I appreciate most, though, is that I think this will make a very good go-bag for one or two people. It's a very good size, and it's very functional. It's not going to be an everyday use bag, but it's perfect to keep stowed away in a closet in case of an emergency. It has enough handles to be easy to grab and go, and the grey appearance makes it nicely nondescript. When worn as a backpack, it has no exposed zippers on the back, keeping it a bit safer from potential theft. Also I like the loop-strip on the side to support a few attachable carabiners.

That is also a backpack. The canvas is lightweight and the zippers are good and sturdy with pull tabs. The sides do have nice handholds so if the bag is heavy. You would just need to wrap the backpack straps up. There is an inner pocket that zips and the inside shell that definitely will hold a lot of gear. This bag does as it says: you definitely can repack it back up and zip to carry, as photographed. I tried several times filling and removing items, and still able to fold and re-zip. I am happy with the product and the pricing is good for the quality.
