These shorts might be the ideal running shorts. I've been out for two runs in these ... a steady state run, and a 400m interval workout. The shorts never grabbed my attention during either workout, and they cover enough of me that I won't be arrested for indecent exposure. I probably have 15 pair of actual running shorts (not generic athletic shorts), and this is my best pair in terms of weight, fit, freedom of movement, adequate coverage, and moisture wicking.I'm 5'7" & 155lbs with a 30"waist, so the chart suggests size Small. But, I have larger glutes and thighs, so I often buy shorts with a 32" waist so the shorts aren't glued to me below the waist. I figured these have an elastic waistband, so I went with the Medium. The Medium fits me perfectly!I'm writing this review as I came back onto Amazon to buy two more in different colors.

I run, during which I sweat, profusely. Therefore, I like minimalist clothing because there is nothing worse than wet shorts with so much fabric to them that by the time your run is done you feel as though you’re toting a wet garbage bag around your midsection. Having said that, I’m also cheap, so there’s no way I’m paying $70 or more for a pair of famous-running-shoe-company-branded shorts. So, I took a chance on these shorts and have not been disappointed. Construction quality is sound, shorts are light, and though I could do with a skoch less fabric in the front, they’re fine in that respect too. I’m 5’ 10”, 149 lbs, 29” waist, so I bought size Small and they fit perfectly. Could carry a phone in the pockets but wouldn’t bc it WILL flop about; key and ID are enough. Inner lining is comfortable, and running in them feels as close to running nekkid as I can get. So yes, if you have requirements like mine and are as “frugal” as I am, these are highly recommended.

I love these shorts. I love’em. A lot. They’re great to run in. They’re great to lounge in. My kids say they’re too short; but for me they’re just right. I love the zippered pockets. I haven’t noticed the drawstring being too long, but I haven’t paid any attention either. Very light weight. The cut on the side legs isn’t too much. Not too baggy, not too tight. I have another 3” inseam running short from another brand available on Amazon and they just don’t do it for me. Too baggy, making them feel too short and the side cut is too much. Have I mentioned yet I love these shorts?I’m going to buy some more for vacation. I wish the red was back in stock.For the record, I am 6’1” tall. I weigh in regularly at 155lbs. And I’m 39 years old.

No word on longevity, but these are great as running or workout shorts or for staying cool outside. I also use them as swim trunks and they have done just fine so far.Zipper pockets hold small stuff (large stuff like a phone would flop around uncomfortably), but seem fine for a key or two, ID and maybe a couple bills.

The problem with buying clothes online is it's a trial and error until you find the right fit and comfort. I should have gone with my instinct at first, but I was scared to be bold. So, I went with the regular size I buy here. But for this pair of shorts, the large was just too big and it felt like I was wearing a skirt. I got the medium and it fits perfectly. There is no limited movement at all. It moves with you.

These shorts are my husbands FAVORITE and all time go-to shorts!

Each time they age out, we go back on the mier website and explore the new colors available in these shorts, and order another batch.
The black fades over time in the Florida sun, sand, and ocean salt water, and grease/grime that mechanical endeavors subject him to, but never has a zipper nor elastic failed! The fabric has never torn.. they just get a bit "grayed" (unevenly) and we toss them. This is after at least 2 years of hard use and abuse! The other colors have not yet faded (we used to just get black, but now we have a royal blue and a red). We hope they NEVER stop carrying this short!! He LOVES the zipper pockets, the softness and comfort of them, the durability and high quality aspects of the fabric, zipper, and elastic. FABULOUS product that keeps us coming back to your website!
